There's something truly heartwarming about the aroma of freshly baked dinner rolls wafting through the kitchen. With this delightful recipe, you’ll learn how to create soft and fluffy rolls that are perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
- 500g strong white bread flour
- 10g salt
- 7g instant yeast
- 300ml warm milk
- 50g unsalted butter, melted
- 30g sugar
- 1 large egg
Instructions:
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread flour and salt. In a separate bowl, mix the warm milk, melted butter, sugar, and yeast until well blended.
-
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and add the egg. Stir with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
-
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
-
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp tea towel, and leave it to rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until it has doubled in size.
-
Once risen, punch the dough down and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and arrange them in a greased baking tray.
-
Cover the rolls again and allow them to rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 190°C (170°C fan) while they rise.
- Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown. Brush with melted butter as soon as they come out of the oven for an extra touch of richness.
Serve these luscious rolls warm with a pat of butter, and enjoy the beautiful blend of flavours that will make your dinner table feel truly special. Happy baking!
