Tasty Chicken Broccoli Casserole Recipe
This hearty Chicken Broccoli Casserole is the perfect comfort dish for any occasion. With tender pieces of chicken, crisp broccoli florets, and a creamy sauce, this recipe combines flavours and textures that will please the entire family.
Ingredients:
- 500g cooked chicken, shredded
- 300g fresh broccoli, cut into florets
- 200g cooked rice (or pasta, if you prefer)
- 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
- 150ml milk
- 100g grated cheese (cheddar works wonderfully)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- A handful of breadcrumbs for topping
Method:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, broccoli, rice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth. Pour this mixture over the chicken and broccoli, stirring to combine thoroughly.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top, followed by a light dusting of breadcrumbs for added crunch.
- Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
